9/12/11 report

Went looking around today for some topwater, got 1 bass on the spook first thing. Was hoping to find some stripers on something other than bait but that was not to be. Ended up with the rest of the fleet and got a few. Lost a few also. Seems like they were bigger models today that last week but less of them (for me at least).. Wind came up at 1200 and became somewhat of a problem as the afternoon progressed..Much cooler than last week also..My biggest was 6.5lbs...seems that even the small stripers at DVL are pretty big compared to pyramid or castaic..

what kind of bait is good for the stripers iv never caught one befor and i hope to catch my first one on wensday any tips for the stripers and is it true that ther are small mouth bass in ther as well any tips will help it will be my first time at dvl

Cut sardine for stripers and yes there are small mouth...bring some weights the stripers are deep..

Got a few bass...and the stripers are deep...If you go out there you will see where they are at..can't miss the fleet...
