First time to the lake with my boat. Got there about 0700 and no line. Inspection was not a problem and went quick. Got my sticker and was on the water by 0730. Looked for boils for a few hours and metered around for nothing. Saw where everybody else seemed to be fishing bait and joined in. Got 6 stripers for 8 hookups and got bit a few other times. Wind came up pretty good in the afternoon so I fished bass for a few smaller models. Got back to the dock at 1715.. Saying that it was HOT would not do it justice. Drank all the waters and soda's I had with me. Had to stop on the way home for some more water..Waters real clear and surface temp was 81.

I know there's a lot of fishermen out there....glad to see some are still reporting, thanks! Stay thirsty, my friends. (drink plenty of water!) I KNOW WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR THOSE TEMPS TO DROP FOR THEM SHAD TO COME UP, KEEPING OUR FINGERS CROSSED!

7 bottles of water and 2 cokes...had dry mouth by the time I got to my truck..Dam it was hot..!

Hope you had a Bimini ? Hottest day of the year OMG.
Saw the TV Special Great Lakes Wrecks and the Quagga's are 5" thick on some shipwrecks.

Got a bimini the day before and put it on..SAVED me..... what a difference they make...

Good catch for the first time out , I have no binimi and Iam crazy for going without . I drink water by the gallon.

were you using 'chovies or sardines?.......were you using any weights?...also, thank you for the link to the Bimini tops, unbelieveable......Bob sr.

Mine are frozen..
