Would you prefer fishing in the May - June time zone ... or late Sept-Nov?
Any recommendations for a guide service?

Oct has always been my best month. I have fished all over the lake but always find myself going to Leighton springs to launch. If the hatch is on, midge fishing is the bees knees. I've caught 10x more big fish midging in 10th of the time compared to striping a streamer. Im no expert but I can tell you this, HANG ON BUDDY..I've hooked fish and know in 2 seconds I'll never see em, just too big.
I stay away from the Troutfly, those guys rub me the wrong way. That said, I have heard good things about Tom Lowe of Sierra Drifters. I have ran accross him a few times on the lake and MOST of the time he is professional and respectful to tubers. There's another tackle shop on the main road, I think its called Ricks..those guys are very cool and helpful. My 9 year old son and I were in there last year talking to them for an hour or so, great guys and lots of good advice.
