Was going to go to LBC for Halibut yesterday but figured so soon after the holiday

it would be to trashy !!! So went to Malibu instead, where I found out, the water was

full of that milky white stuff, and fishing there was not good, consequenty!!

so, I hit up a couple of LBC jetties today, starting from 6am. sun-up to 9am. depart

time, because the water was so dirty, muddy brown. :Rolls Eyes: But, did hook into a few on the

3in. BH swimmy.

The water at the LB Jetty has been murky, brown, or red the few times I was by there last month. I fished the wall yesterday morning and decided to head down towards the jetty to drift for halibut in the afternoon. The water was that beautiful turquoise blue color yesterday from the jetty to Belmont pier. The water on the other side of the pier towards Cherry beach was a nasty rusty brown.

Nice job with the swimmy! I can honestly say....I never thought I'd see a lizard fish served up on a plate!

Lol, did that white croaker put up ANY fight at all? I hate those things.

At least you managed a bass, though!

Oh, and are those things everywhere in LBC? Let's say one would go down to the jetties and drag a grub on the bottom is it a guarantee that one will hook at least a dozen of those in an hour?

Most annoying fish on earth. (actually tasty though) I actually panfried a larger half-pounder I caught at the pier years ago. They would make a neat aquarium fish.
