Well Mike just got back into bass fishing this last year and hes been wanting to expand his horizons so he decided to get out to perris with me to learn some new stuff and add some new techniques bag of tricks..

So I met him at Perris on Thursday in line.. I told him the plan for the day and what to expect...He couldnt hardly wait for the gate to open...

We launch the boat and head to our first spot...I stop the boat about 75 yards from my sweetspot for topwater fish...Mike starts firing out casts getting the caddence down and practicing making long casts...by the time we get in the kill zone, hes ready to do some damage on these bass..
It didnt take long for his topwater bait to get CRUSHED and he boats his first topwater bass of the day...
The warm water and warm grass is creating a "fog/steam" against the cool air temps and I tell him we are going to catch alot of topwater bass.
The action takes off and we are hammering them on topwaters. Mike is having a BLAST!!! The action continues until the sun comes up over the hill and the fog/steam goes away..
Then its time to head to deep water... Mike has a look of excitement on his face for whats about to happen....
On the way to the spot I explain the basics of the dropshot, the speed of the retrieve and how the bites gonna feel.. So by the time we get to my spot and make a cast, he's ready to put a hurt on these bass...:Big Grin:

We mark the spot and both fire out casts...within minutes Mike sets the hook on a good Perris Bass..
Mike cant beleive how dialed in I am on this bite... Not only do i have this bite dialed in to the spot and bait, but I also have it narrowed down to the line size, bait size, leader length and speed of retreive.. The float tubers and other boaters around us are shaking their heads in disbelief because we are catching so many bass. GOTTA LOVE IT!!!
If you dont beleive me just ask Mike...AKA .. Karalm. We were roping them!!!
This outstanding bite lasted until about 1pm when it finally slowed down and we headed in at 1:45 with over 40 bass in the boat..and that doesnt include 3-4 missed topwater bass and 3-4 missed or lost dropshot fish... This was indeed an EPIC day..

Mike couldnt have been happier... Good Job....

Our topwater fish were caught in 2-5 ft of water..
Our deep fish were caught in 45-53 ft of water on dropshot

Here are some pics of Mike..
