My client Juan called me and told me that he was having trouble keeping his 8 year old son focused when he took him fishing. He said that no sooner they get to the lake that he'd be wanting to go home. Juan and his son Juan Jr. have been out with me multiple times. In fact I got them so hooked that they went and bought a boat from bass pro Shops and the rest is history.. hahha.. So he figured that the best way to get his young boy Jullian hooked on bass fishing would be to bring him out on my boat and see if If I could get him hooked...
So when I talked to Juan on the phone he told me that he wanted me to work first hand with Jullian and help him gain the confiedence needed to help keep him focused to fish.
I suggested a half day trip to start off... So we decided to get out to Perris for a 6am-10:30am trip..
As some of you already know Ive been absolutely hammering these bass at Perris on both topwater and deepwater fishing techniques..
This day I decided to head straight to deep water to optimize our time in the shortened day.. AND IT WAS A GREAT DECISION....
With in 2 casts Jullian pulled in his 1st bass of the day..A healthy 2 1/2 lb Perris largie..
Then his Dad and brother got into the action a cast later...It was literally fish after fish for the 3 of them all morning.. Every couple minutes one of them had a bass hooked...We also had 2-3 double hookups and 1 triple hookup!! :Big Grin::Big Grin:
Jullian did great and stayed focused (which is easy when we are on them so good) lol:LOL: He hit a bit of a snag 1/2 way thru the morning when he lost 2 GIANTS (6lb+ bass) on back to back casts...because he got a bit overly excited while fighting those Perris Pigs....But he powered thru it and continued to make casts and got back in his groove and continued to catch bass....
By 10:15 they had caught WELL OVER 30 bass. With the big bass honors going to Juan Sr. who put a hurt on a solid 5 1/2 lb Perris Beauty.
Here are some pics..

This is their first 2 bass each...all in the first 30 mintues
