Heading to Long Beach, anyone heard of Leeway Sailing Center to launch the kayaks?

Hi all like my title says I plan on doing some paddling on salt water! I was wondering if any of you all been to Leeway Sailing Center to launch your vessel? I've never been there but a fellow kayaker suggested to go there. I'll appreciate your insight.

its on ocean blvd in belmont shores at the begining of the penisula. if your coming from the south take 2nd st. to bayshore dr. turn left. turn left again on ocean about 100 yds down ocean on the left you will see launch area. this put you into alamitos bay good for spottys and halbut. good luck

It is a good spot. You can back up to the launch spot, unload and park on the street for free 100' away unless it is a busy time (weekend). They have a hose so you can wash up too.
