It started out a little slow this morn. at the west end and then the boats started to come in and stack up , the saddle dam area was a parking lot , ha Alot of boats either spooning or bait drifting , It was like only 3 boats trolling and in and out of traffic , me being one . I moved to deeper water between the island east of saddle dam and northwest dam area . I tried a bunch of different things that didnt work as it looked like not alot of action with anyone , and then I tried a LITTLE spoon that I use up at B.B. LK. and it was wide open for these little schollies . I was using my downriggers today but the fish were caught between 35-50 ft. [ easy for leadline still ] . Fish 5 & 6 was a double hookup and it almost stopped me fishing as I had a massive tangle but cut everything clear and finished the day off . One fish thru up these little baitfish as I netted it , about the size of my spoon . // db http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1241.jpghttp://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1238.jpghttp://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1244.jpg

Nice job DB!
The topmost bait in your hand is a shrimp I think.

Most impressive d/b
Way to adjust your tactics :UDaMan:
I'm telling you, after fishing for stripers, you're gonna lose interest in those trout

TROUT ? Whats a trout , ha ha I love striper fishing and Gerald your right on the shrimp , this fish came in on a DEEEEP POINT and threw this stuff up and its swim bladder was sticking out along with this shrimp [ didnt know they had fresh water shrimp ? ] but it shows these fish are picking the bottom. I tried trolling an anchovie on a live bait fish rig and even a chovie and flasher rig , no go . If these fish will eat cut bait why not the same bait being trolled ? Maybe I didnt try hard enough .// db
