Hit the pump station around 830 am. Lost, one on the fat free shad. Went to the other lake. Saw that 5 pounder jump out of the middle of the toolies and get dry docked on some brush. The thing was big and dry docked for about 10 seconds flipping around until he fell back into the water. Threw everything I had at him, nothing.... Even the blue gill slowed down. Nothing even chasing bait. Skunked... I guess that's part of the game. My son, Bo even only caught a few blue gill. I flattened out the barb on my son's hook and bent it more into a circle so we could release the blue gills more easily. It worked but made it a bit more difficult to land the little guys. No fish were gut hooked so it worked.
