I took a week off to do some fishing and hit up Big Bear first and was having no love for an hour throwing the Mini Jigs and it not until 10am the bite got good i had no time to take more pics because I was stuck in a biting frenzy. The crappie were anywhere from the smallest i had here to the 13 inch one's.

Such a candid pic of me eh? it's the sun so freakin' hot haha
total for bigbear was 25 crappie and i kept only 5 of the bigger models

I left after 12 because it got too unbearably hot.

I finally got to fish scroungers with maniac lures plastic in white and did well catching 6 bass for the day and also couple days before i wacky'ed a senko and landed 8 I couldn't get pics because my phone overheated and decided to shut down or die on me haha but all in all a good week of fishing and thanks to those who have helped me. For the scrounger heads and the Senko's I had to use the Bite on Garlic for the scent because the water was terribly discolored. I fished without it at first and havent got touched in 15 mins but as soon as i dipped around my 2nd cast on the scrounger i got this beauty.

Sweet report, Mr Seau - Triple-X!!!

Never heard of a Scrounger swim bait before now http://thescrounger.com/news/whats-hot/

Which were you using (style/color) and where did you find them to buy? Were the bass hitting on them moving or still - fast or slow - high or low? I know, I know - it's a SWIM bait!

Wish I coulda seen a pic of that 13" crappie - my biggest has been 11" and I know there are bigger ones hiding out in Big Bear!!!

Keep them pix and reports coming! We need our daily fish porn,

Eric

The scrounher I used was the 1/8 oz head with a Maniac Minnow in 3 inch shimmer shad color. I swam this bad boy just above the bottom and let it hit the structures for extra action and noise and that drove the fish wild! Haha. And Thanks to you I have gained some experience and confidence to fish a lake like Big bear. Its such a huge place and its so beautiful up there. I will post up pics of what I use later today:). For the crappie I used the tubes at first then I ended up using the jig in a tube, the cubby tail jigs. After I switched the bite was getting so good I Just decided to burn from the sun lol.

Scroungers were one of the first plastic swim baits and have been around since the late 70's-early 80's. We used them at San Onofre Surf Beach to catch halibut in the sand holes at low tide.

I had no idea they dated back that far! That's good to know lol I just saw them recently and though they were cool and used it with great success

Here are the Jigs I was using at BBL and the Scrounger head with the minnow i used and for those that need help on a bass setup / worms i use exclusively these Senko/ Roboworms

you are doing it all wrong. when you catch a fish on the bite on garlic, after you kill the fish, you RAM the bite on jar down its throat. THEN TAKE THE PICTURE. .
