Decided to make a quick run up with the new fishing puppy. Got to the lake at 830 and started in on the cove next to the point dropshotting Drews Customs. Used the new pro staff line (bi color black with red flake/chartreuse with garlic scent) and got 3 right away. Than caught a few crappie. Moved over to the point for a few more on a black Drews Custom. It was HOT up there (90 degrees). Wate level was low too. Headed over by the dam and got 4 more. All stockers with the biggest about 2#. Saw a few folks on boats hooking up. Not crowded at all. Gonna make one more trip up on the 6th.
