Should be Heist not Hesit. Typo.

Now that's a first. Talk about some serious poaching.

Wardens are asking anyone with information on the missing fish to call the department tip line at 1-888-334-2258.

Wardens are also saying they'll actually respond this time.

Is 3 pounds a trophy trout?

Also, these scoundrels must pay.

I sincerely hope these scum-of-the-earth get caught and imprisoned for many years with Bubba as a cellmate.

I don't know? Stockers I have seen are like 6" to 8" so a load of all 3 pounders is huge, lol. I'm no trout guy but the article made these sound special.

Oh they're big stockers. Most fresh stock I catch are kinda sad to hook and might make good bait for our bass. I've just heard of 10 pound plus trout caught, I didn't know that I had caught what was considered a trophy size when I nabbed a 5 lb in lake Castitas in April. Then again a spotted or small mouth 5 lb is a trophy but a Large mouth has gotta be 10 if you want your catch and release pin. I have no clue who decides this stuff.

But I rarely go for trout, so I don't know.

LOL! It is, if you grew up in the city.

I bet they ended up in "ethnic" supermarkets. I doubt they were able to be kept alive.

The thieves used ice chests to haul them away, so they weren't destined for any body of water.
Most likely, yolo is correct.

I love to fish and eat trouts. 6" to 8" is already at 3/4 lbs, depending on how much they free range feeding vs stuff feeding at the hatcheries. 3 lbs with stuff feeding at the hatcheries, they are freakishly huge bellies. Not much of a fighter, but good eating still. I prefer the wild brown and rainbow, that truly have firm meat. Lake Gregory normally stock a good count of 20 to 30 3lbs trouts during the derbies by the local fisheries. Man, I wish they toss a truck load of the bull and speckled trouts. They will give the native the run for their money.

:Sad:SAD!
A 3 pound trout would make many fisherfolks happy. If folks don't catch any fish they will not pay $60.00 for a licence. If the criminals get caught they will just be put on probation.
The fish are more important to us fisherfolks than the population of our country.

Find them, prosucute them, and put them in prison. There they will have all the trouser trout they can handle!
