Was at the aquaduct near 25th west in palmdale and caught my first channel cat. Nothing great but about 20" in the 2 lb range....I think..sorry no photo today.

grats! that's always fun to catch your first of something! there's plenty of them in there too...i was fishing the area over in littlerock late last night and landed one about 6lbs, they sure do fight when you get them in that current.

chicken liver wrapped in some plastic lace and tied with yellow yarn.
Need to try a few light split shots add a touch of weight. current kept stuff very high yesterday.
