Striper King Classic Official Tournament Rules
General Regulations
1. All entrants must abide by California Dept of Fish & Game rules and regulations.
2. All entrants must abide by Diamond Valley Lake rules and regulations.
3. Failure to abide by General Regulations 1 and 2 will result in automatic DQ.

Boat/Vehicle Inspections
1. All entrants must allow SKC staff to inspect boats livewells, coolers and any areas they deem suspicious.
2. Failure to allow SKC staff to accomplish inspections will result in automatic DQ.
3. Boats will also be checked/inspected by DV Marina staff.
4. For safety, PFD are recommended, but will not DQ you if you are not wearing one. Those who are not good swimmers are recommended to wear one.
5. For safety, utilizing the "kill" switch lanyard is recommended if you are fishing solo. But, you will not be DQ'd if you are not using this safety procedure.

Launching Procedures
1. All boats will be launched by "called" numbers. Each boats captain will provide their SKC ticket number to staff. This will be your launching number.
2. Boats will launch/wait in marina. Wait until your number is called from the LEFT SIDE of the wave attenuator.
3. Any boats leaving prior to their number being called will be DQ'd.

Tournament Rules
1. Cash prizes are for biggest, single striper caught between 6:00am-2:00pm. Must bring winning fish to Awards Ceremony.
2. Boaters must be off water by 2:00pm.
3. Weigh-in ends at 2:30pm sharp. No exceptions.
4. DVL shad is only live bait that can be used. It's forbidden to use live trout, bluegill and any fish that has been brought in from another lake.
5. Anyone using forbidden live bait will be automatically DQ'd.
6. Boaters shall allow SKC staff to board your boat if suspected of using forbidden live baits. Failure to allow them to board boats will result in automatic DQ.
7. Encroachment- 75' fishing distance from another boater.
8. Trolling distance- 100' fishing distance from troller.
9. Right to spot- First angler to spot is entitled to fish there. Next angler to area must be at least 75' away.

From DF&G: No culling of stripers. All fish caught must be kept.

Weigh-in Procedures
1. SKC Official weigh station is inside DV Marina store.
2. All stripers are to be weighed by SKC Official.
3. All large stripers caught considered to be potential winners should be brought in immediately to weigh/log.
4. All weighed stripers will be marked to indicate that they have been recorded.
5. Tournament Director has sole authority to determine the authenticity of each fish.

Where in the DFG rules does it say you can't cull fish?
