8/22 MALBU,Twelve Dollar Halibut

Halibut was the target, being there was finally a low wave forecast, and


Minor swell forecast ,with even, 3-4ft. tide remaining the same throughout

the planned short session (6am. to 11.30am.) With having accidently seeing

some marked down LC at Sports Chalet for twelve bucks decided to hit an old

spot towards Malibu way. After about a mile of castnig FINALLY !!! :LOL: hooked into

a fat flat one, although just a tad short though.

Nice warm water, a little brownish in some places,but clear in others, with medium

micro-weed mixed with some eel grass,as you will see from the Hali pic. Arrival

time with feet on the sand was about 6am. to see diving birds all over the place !!!

Only thing was, they were diving on small anchovy, which for some reason the YFC,s

were not there as one would expect :Rolls Eyes: Found that out cuz,I was throwing the large

Kroc like crazy !!! But nothing bit :Shocked:

Hey Daniel,
One is better than none.
Did you know that LC's in the red boxes are for fresh water?!
Just change the hooks or make sure to rinse off the LC with fresh water afterwards.
