My second day surf fishing and my knowledge has increased alot. Started fishing at 1:30 pm or about and hour before high tide. Caught my first perch on a gulp green grub. Caught my second perch on a sand grab. Figured how to hook a sand crab to hide the hook. A fisherman was leaving and he gave me a couple of his blood worms. Cast out and was getting hit constantly but could not set the hook. Finally caught one. About 2.5 inches long. Must have been casting the blood worms in to a school of the little guys. Anyway increase my catch 300% (from 1-3). Still learning. YD
