Quick report, went last night and caught 6 yellow kitty (released), 1 bullhead cat (released), 2 striper (lunch).
Chicken liver, droper loop, 12 lb line, 2 Oz singker.
Just got up and need to go to work...(man! I'm late

man, there's a ton of those babies out here on the west side lately! where are all the DDs??
5 of the last 6 that i've caught have been 1-2lbs.
i'm trying to get past all the micros, to something i can bring home for dinner, lol

got one in the 3-4lb range yesterday. just 21"

whats that thing you're using? some type of jig? it looks like a fluke with hair, lol

it's a type of bucktail, with a fluke as a trailer.
this is the first time it's actually caught a fish. i've used it in the past with no luck, but i just had a feeling about it that day.
i've caught several micros on a similar setup recently. ironically, it's a bit larger. i've downsized a bit lately, because i've been catching the mini's on baits up to 7".
may be just dumb luck? but i made the change & got a (slightly) larger fish...so i'll experiment some more & see how it goes.
but, try different things & learn how they work. just because it catches today, doesn't mean it will tomorrow, lol.

Obv not. Your reply wasn't there when when I decided to respond, but regardless I was still a few minutes too slow =(.
nelayan, by east Johnson, are you referring to the Phelan area? There are two Johnson's. One is in the east near Phelan and one is in the west near Lake Elizabeth.
Lucky, cool to see the fish are getting bigger for you.

Ok so Johnson Rd. on the west side. That's what I thought but you put "East Johnson" in the title. Maybe you didn't know there was a Johnson in the far east that also crosses the duct?

maybe he meant the "east side" of west johnson rd? lol
