Nicely done! I love Piru but have had terrible luck there for bass this summer. What were the bass hitting?

Hope that means the bass fishing is picking back up at Piru again... Got skunked last time I went out about 3 or 4 weeks ago throwing my fav Piru baits in all of my fav spots and was humbled to say the least.... The lake level being full definitely isn't helping the cause :/

I'll have to head back out there again soon. Thx for the post Mike!

Nice job on the crappie......too bad about the bass chasing them off...........curious because I just started fishing for crappie, do you prefer curly tails over the regular plastic crappie jigs? Thanks, Mike

Crappiemike,

Nice SLABS used to go fishing @ Piru in the 1970's with my uncle, and be limited out with 20 trout by 9:30 AM of the dam area.

that was when the trout limit per day was still 10

If you ever need a slab partner send me an email @radioleo@earthlink.net

the curlys for there action!!!!

and for color, they all work,,,,
