8/16 My PB LMB @ DVL....

Had some time to kill this mrng. and thought I'd head to dvl even though we aren't in the best moon phase rite now. Got there about 5:15 and on the shore fishing by 6:15. Made my way east of the marina and started throwing t-rig robos. First fish went about 2lbs. and started making my way to the dam. No fish for an hour or so, so I started working my way back towards the marina. Stopped at the long point and on the shady side threw a spook at some boiling fish...nothing! Went back to robos and on the first cast...thump! Reel down and set the hook, couldnt move the fish! Then my rod doubles over and its on, my heart pumping I manage to keep her from shaking the hook and land her! Was by myself and asked a guy in a boat if he could slide over and take a pic? BIG thanks to Dave who was kind enough to oblige!!! Put her on the scale and weighed rite at 6lbs. Not a giant but my best at dvl so far:)! Caught another that went 4lbs. and several more in the 2-3lb. range! My best day at dvl for sure!

HawgStalker- If you didn't say what she weighed and ask us to guess the weight, I'm sure some would say 8 lbs! Especially in that last pic. Could pass for a 10 pounder with that belly! Very nice fish dude!

Very nice! I was there today also & found it to be one of the slowest days for me recently. Talked to another guy wiping down his boat when we parked ours next to him & he said it was one of the best days they've had. Funny how that works. Congrats on the nice fish. Didn't see any striper boils today.

It seemed like every fish I caught was at least 2lbs...out of 10 or 11 fish in 3hrs. I think 2 were dinks:)
