Need a little help

I live pretty close to long beach and I have been wanting to fish the area. But I don't know where to start I have heard of places like the wall and the jetty but I have no idea where they are.... So I was hopin some of you more experienced guys could help me out a little

"The Wall" is The Federal Break Wall, and runs about a mile off the beach from Carillo Beach down to the entrance to Naples Harbor and Belmont Shores. There are 2 entrances or gates to the L.A. harbor area and Long Beach harbor area along the wall.
"The Jetty" could be any of a number of jetties along the coast. Just pick one and fish it.
One tip that will help you is to fish moving water. That is to say, fish the outgoing and incoming tidal movements. The fishing at dead high tide and dead low isn't exactly what I would call productive.
