Thinking about going to Bbl with the tube and 2 fly rods to learn a little more about this fly fishing thing. Any thought on where to launch, what to troll or cast and what sink rate line. Buggers? midges?

After paying your inspection/lake fees for the day, I like to launch over by Fawnskin. Drag a Wooley Bugger with a sink tip and add a nymph like a Pheasant Tail or Hare's ear about 12" behind. Kick troll or cast and retrieve slowly. Go over by the observatory and throw the bugger over the rocks for Bass. You'll catch fish.

Full sink type 4 for me. If they are down in the column the fly will get down to them with a slow troll and strip if they are up in the column just start stripping earlier, 5x tippit or you could go up to 4x.

Black is very good out on BBL (and most places), Matuka, bugger or twin lakes special add a red head also. A favorite fly out there for us is black with a ton of silver dubbing kind of a BBL special that has worked when no other fly seemed to be working.
