I am having some swimbaits custom painted by a guy back East. I was hoping to find some good close-up pics of stocked trout that the DFG plants here in SoCal lakes (I think DFG trout tend to be more silver than green/pink?). I need to send these pics to the painter for reference. Can somebody post some pics of the fish I am looking for? The better the detail of the fish in the picture, the better the paint job I get. I know this is asking a lot, but I would really appreciate it. Thanks for any and all responses I get.

It's important to get the 'stocker' trout pattern down.

That's what frustrates me about manufacturer's 'trout' patterns.

They make 'em look like the trout you catch in a desolate stream in upstate Montana. Ain't no way our wonderful DFG stockers pass for those fish.

They all look great, try making a run to a hatchery and take some shots there, those throw away underwater cameras are cheap, that would give you a true look, underwater shot.

heard that, not trying to imitate a brown trout just want a simple stocker rainbow.
