My Buddy Mangus and I wanted to fish the stripper bite at DVL, but as luck would have Mr. stripper did notwant to play. Saw alot deep 40-60 ft, but just couln't get them to go, no surface action that we could find. It may have been different if we had a faster boat and could cover more water. I ended up forgetting my bass rods at home so I had to fish the bass with my heavier gear. Ended up fishing the west dam, North west small dam, and the saddle at that end of the lake. We C&R about 30 bass for the day mostly small fish to 3.5 lbs. Did catch a decent smallie and a couple of other 12 inchers. Guess I need to learn how to catch deep strippers with out a downrigger.
Ant had a great day, weather was great (not hot) with a nice breeze.
