Anyone know about these guys? Like the regulations and method of catching them. I heard they're in our local waters.

Slipper lobsters are a tropical species, you're not missing much, as they taste almost EXACTLY like our spiny lobsters.

They are not found on our coastline.

Hmmm, my co-worker said he use to catch it off the rock jetty on Camp Pendleton what when he was in the Corp many many years ago....

Hmmm, my co-worker said he use to catch it off the rock jetty on Camp Pendleton what when he was in the Corp many many years ago....Must have been the Nerve gas.. :LOL: From what I know, the only parts of the pacific ocean with slipper lobsters are the western portions.

The cold california current prevents them from entering our waters..

Im sure he was catching mantis shrimp.

The ones i've seen were about 8" long and all tail with preying mantis arms.
