8/2 with mr "dont mad dogg me" and "i just broke my neck, but ima beat this fool"

Well well all,
So I hit up Kevin to see if hes down for a morning session since its the last day before hes got to work and Ive got a break in work to so we head down to the south bay for a lil morning plastic session. WOW the water is cold, its the kind of cold where you gotta take breaks because the temperature shock hurts your toes, so you go in and out just till you get used to it. Few casts and an hour and a half later, "forget this man, lets cut our losses and head to another spot." Sounds good, so me and Kevin walk back to the car.
As were walking down the street, we see this truck slam on its brakes right when it passes us. Me and Kevin, "what the heck, whats this guy doin? Maybe he missed the turnoff" oh well, we turn around and keep walking. "DONT MAD DOG ME!" The guy gets out of the truck, Kevin turns around with instinct and half a cig still burnin in his mouth. WELL WELL, IF IT ISNT ROBERT, THE MURRIETA ANGLER. We exchange hellos and Kevin admits what was goin through his mind before he found out it was Robert, "damn, I just broke my neck and I was thinkin I was gonna have to beat this fool." haha,

so we all decide to shoot more south into LB for a couple hours, Robert on the LC, Kevin DS flashtrix, me on my flukes. TAP TAP, miss, "ooh" im thinkin, this place has fish. Next thing I know, Kevin is to my left bendo! his first hali from the sand! pancake but its all good

anyway we decide to head back for the day. So i make that one last cast and make my way over to talk to Robert when my rod doubles over BENDO!

they were all pancakes, but when we left, Kev had 3-4 butts, Robert had 2 wsb and a ray, I ran away with 7 butts and a queenfish. All in all a good few hours, Im sure Robert will tag all the exotics he caught after we left hah.

YEEEAHH BOY - that was way too much fun. The first spot we hit up had water so cold, i could literally feel it in my bones.

Robert - u scared me bro when u jumped out of ure big truck. I was thinking - What do u mean Mad dogging??? I have my sunglasses on!! THis guy is just looking for a fight. And boy was i glad to see you with all your FNN gear on. hahaha

Nick - now i know what ure talking about when u said this is the type of surf fishing u wanted to put me on. When between the 3 of us can catch 11 halibuts, 2 WSB and a handful of others in 2 hours of fishing... that's craziness!!

That Darn Robert is a WSB magnet I tell ya. The SWAT brothers call him the "WSB Whisperer".Just when the water temps were stabilizing we get all of the NW wind swell that upwelled our Socal inshore waters again....UGHH !
All I've been comming up with is shorties in the BU as well.

I fished last sunday in the southbay with Steve (flyngby) and the bite sucked but the eye candy was insane at the 6man Manhatten volleyball tourny. I've got enough landlocked butt pics to embellish reports for the next year...LOL
Let me know your schedual this month so we can hit it up bro.

Not only were these ladies puttin it out there but they were also very good volleyball players as well.

Like I said yesterday, I was looking at your set ups before I looked at your faces, especially with your GF there Nick.
It turned out to be a good day in the LBC. After the two of you left, I ended up with 3 more butterfly rays...:Rolls Eyes:
When I headed back to my truck it was only 4:20...:Cool:
So, I headed down to NPH for a couple of hours and see if I could get any bass to bite.
Second dock and...WHAM!!!! This 17" SBB decided to let me drag him to the sand;

I lost about 5 or 6 little ones, but after an hour I got this sucker to come out and pull drag for a minute or so;

All in all, it was a decent day, as far as fishing goes, but even better, to hang out with some good people...:Wink:

Nice goin guys. Looked like a lot of fun on the plastics. Don't know what it is, but the LC doesn't seem to do well for me in that area. :Neutral:
