Went up today to pickup the new annual pass and check out some of the sufface action I've heard of from some friends, well first spot i went to the stripers were boiling, nothing like sleeping in and hitting the lake late and first cast on the kpn and hookup...
Fish stayed up just long enough to hook a fish on each boil.
Played with these guys for over a hour before I went to pick up a friend.
Heard there also boiling in the morning.

And take too lol, I tried a ripbait but put it away fast and they ate the KPN up...

way ta get the heat of the day bite...
what grade feesh were U putting in the boat ?
How many did U land ?
regardless of details, good to see some feesh actually turning active...it's overdue
Hopefully the shad spawn will turn on and solidify things....

Got lucky, right place at the right time, got 4 fish, released as soon as I got them to the boat, I had two come unbuttoned when I got greedy and hooked one and put that pole in the rod holder and cast out another bait,...lol
fish were in the 2.5 to 3 pound range and where really wolf packing the baits, 5 or 6 fish all tryin to smack the KPN, knocking it out of the water, I bent the trebles and did a qick change between boils, that helped.
when I picked up Dave, the fish were down, we did a recon looking for shad... soon...
Sounds like a good flurry of action.
