Laguna Lake 7/31

my gf and I went out today to check out the lake, first time. Went to Takas to buy some mackeral and misc stuff. by the way if anyone is looking for bite on cajun taka had 6 bottles as of today when i left. We got to the lake, nice blue water, but has lots of growth i mean a lot, caould throw any spinners or rattletraps, had to go weedless for everything. Put out a pole for cats and walked around to the tullies to try for some bass, was behind them fishing and about an hour after i put some mackeral out my gf yells RONNIE so i run around the bushes and see her reeling in my pole and brought this guy uphttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v654/evosamurai/IMG_0278.jpg
i wanted to take a pic of it but she wanted to be in the pic with the fish lol i was mad cause it was my pole but she got the fish damn. hooked up to 2 more that day but couldnt land them gonna try some more this week, i like that place

I'm surprised you didn't hook any turtles with that bait. if you go down near the damn a bit more the growth isn't as bad but may be less fish. I usually go for bass so not sure on the cats.

Nice cat, but are you serious with a snap swivel on a hook? Huh? I grew up on Laguna Lake, lived nearby, so fished it almost every day as a kid and teenager and spent many summer nights camped out there fishing all night. Could tell you some crazy things that happened during the 60s and 70s at "The Lake".

yes im serious about the snap swivel lol my gf likes to have me change her rig every 5 min i just put a snap swivel and let her change her own stuff better that way lol
