I'm going to try my hand in surf fishing for the first time. I've scouted a few locations just north and south of santa monica beach but the fee for parking seems a bit high, $4 to $12 depending on location. I personally think up to $6 is reasonable but anything higher seems excessive. So my question is, what are my parking options? Are there beaches in that area, particularly north of samo that might have free to lower parking fees? My first option was will rogers state beach but they charge $12 for parking or that's what i read online at least. I wanna stay in that vicinity for my first outing and not travel too far north or south. I will appreciate any advice offered, thank you.
