Fishing for crappie and hooked this 17 inch bass on a glow yammaminnow plugged into a natural science series roadrunner. Had to pull her out of structure and by the time I landed her she was beat. Was reviving her when she broke my grip and she started cruising up current on top. I get back to fishing and WHAM I see a brown blur crash the surface 30 yards next to me. Im pretty sure this basses momma felt it. She was done for, I think her gills took the main blow. For some reason the pelican didnt take the fish???
Ended up taking her home, too cool of a story to leave her floatn.
