Hey guys,

Went out to puddingstone for the first time last sunday and found out that there was a jazz festival that day. Waited in line at the gate for 20-30 minutes before we were told that this gate was for the jazz festival only.

With half of the lake closed, my friend and I headed to the north gate and started walking around the shoreline.

We fished the north-east shore area with texas-rigged worms from about 7:00-11:00 am.

I caught 3 lmb within 10 minutes (around 9 am) and then the action stopped for the rest of the day.

Most fish weren't that big. But one of the fish was about 2 lbs.

Sorry, I left my phone in the car, no pictures, but you just gotta take my word for it!

Wouldn't doubt it. Early morning, and the lake apparently has a shortage of food for the local fishes. They snap on anything that smells or looks good without a second thought. I'm surprise to see how little critters get blown into the surface of that lake nowadays.
