Perris Thursday session 7-21

Steve and I went out for the Thursday session....we managed 6 fish total...3 each. I caught a nice short fat 3 lbs'er. The water was 81* and the wind was kickin ***! mostly fished the Eastend. We heard a blood curdling cry come from a couple of people on Seadoos then a boat came out for help and the ambulance took someone...hope they are ok....didn't see what happened. When I saw your post I knew that was you guys. Yeah that wind was brutal....gonna get a second anchor for my boat....aluminum boats dont like the wind.

I read on another post that a drift sock is the way to go on a windy day. I'm glad I had a 2nd anchor yesterday or my post may not have had a happy ending.

I have been hearing about the drift sock also but I will stick with another anchor........I am surprised we even boated 6 fish with how much the wind was blowing us around.

I usually go out on Thursdays from 2 till dark and one day a weekend....I will be at DVL on Sunday so I will be at Perris next Thurs.

Nice Green Carp boys! Hey James, did you ever find out what happened to the person(s) hurt on that SeaDoo?
I remember several years ago I was there and they were removing a young guy that died in a jet ski accident. Some of those crazy people are just too careless with the speed and power involved with those things. And there are no brakes!

It's really a good lake .....great cover there for bass. The pan fish bite is one of the best.
