Went by Skyler's today on my way home to check out his new fly rod he wrapped.
2piece 6ft rod. Felt pretty good! Casts far! I dig it. I may have to get one of those blanks!
Nice work man, here's those pics of it loaded up. The fact that you finished it by hand is all that more satisfying. Perhaps you'll post some pics of the rod itself, for some stupid reason I forgot to take those!

It's a Batson 6 foot im6 spinning blank rated to 1/4 oz. Balances a 5-6 wt line perfectly. I'll post some pics later. Right now I'm heading out to Lyttle Creek to test it out, he he he.

Man, when I saw the first few words of the this thread I assumed it was gonna be about a "home wrapped bacon hot dog." But a fly rod? That's even cooler. Please post some pics. (of the fly rod.)

Came out pretty sweet for my first rod. Now I don't ever want to buy another factory rod, lol.

Very nice work Skyler, I wrapped one way back in the 70's and still use it. Thanks for showing us the pics.
