7/19 upper shad recon

Went up top and to look around for signs of shad, ran back into Elizabeth and Dry Gluch, then put the dipnet down and picked up the DS rod, picked up a couple barely legals saw some signs that looked good for next time. Bass are wolf packin on the bass fingerlings.

Tossed a deep diving jerkbait on a few of the mainlake point for some lineside for nodded, metered baitballs and stripers around but there still a little deep.
Hit my next spot with the pot bellied shad tied on and started to have some fun, the greenies were wolf packing in the shallows, there on the bass fingerlings, wish that was shad...got 3 nice one in about half a hour before they spread out and the lake lice bounced me off my spot...http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/5174b72d.jpg
Got off the water and had the boat put up before noon... tomorrow headed up to Pyramid in search of Shad...

water was very grassy and like pea soup in the coves and along the whole 5 fwy side of the lake..Stripers went off in the morning near the island. No shad seen. This was sunday. Good luck

Thanks for the update, sounds like still the same, bet the waters still super low too, having the fish come up is good start. I'll report back
