What are some good So. Cal. beaches for surf fishing?

I havent been surf fishing in a long time but would love to get back out.

I think the last place I went was somewhere around Malibu but that was over 10 years ago. Perch and Corbina is what I am angling for, nothing wild like sharks or rays.
Anyone have any recommendations?

If you want Corbina, my hands down pick would be anywhere between Manhattan and Hermosa piers. A lot of big fish there. Must go EARLY, make bait (soft shelled sand crabs) and fish before the beach crowd gets thick. Use ultra light tackle.
