More Isabella trout and squaw fish

Hit the lake yesterday with my wife and son. Late start again. had to wait till the plumber fixed the pipe i broke with the boat trailer. Ooops! Launched at 10 and stayed till 1. Pretty crowded for a monday. still managed 2 limits and a surprise for my son, a huge Squaw fish. Trout are really bunched up at the mouth of the river. Most shore guys were getting them too. Here are a couple pics from the trip.

Wow, those are both nice fish. That trout isn't a recent stocker... bet it was all red-meated, no?

All the trout we have been catching have had that nice pink meat. Real close to salmon tasting.

How are the flows in upper kern ?
Flows on the kern are great. Just over 2,000cfs. fishing has been great with good visibility. stocking continues weekly and there lots of hold over fish as well.

My son and I hit it again this morning for 7 more on the boat and a few lost. Fish are still averaging 2 lbs and are fiesty. still quite a few other boats there especially for a weekday.
