I took a buddy out on thursday for a little bassin', introduced him to topwater fishing in the morning. On the water by 0645 and hit up the weeded areas and lettuced laced areas on the west shore. He missed three (tried setting the hook too early) and I got five. Caught them on Sammy's, one on a a white top water plug, and the rest on Yokuri jerk baits. All the action was early. No action on the worms later in the day. My biggest was about three pounds. Saw alot of 'business' on my graph off of the cliffs near Sierra Cove, but no luck. Nice overcast day and just good to get away from the abode.
