I get down there 4-5 times a week. Been very windy making casting tough. I throw hard baits and hunt Cuda, Mackeral and Bonita but have not seen any yet. Not alot of bird action either. Seems like last year at this time the Cuda were swarming. Am I early for the surface bite or does it just have a late start this year??

been in and out of there recently also. A lot of bait in the water, the halibut are far and few between and like you said, the topwater bite is pretty much not there. keep it up, the only thing ive had luck with are 20inch or so butts and teeny tiny bass

every year is different, and you just have to keep at it until its time. water temperature has alot to do with it, but also cleanness, food, and current. I expect to be reading some good posts from you soon.
