I would look into lake Isabella, I camped at Paradise Cove, the lake is right there...

This time of year really hot for a tent. Good striper and cat fish at night. Small mouth and lmb early on worms.

Lake san antonio, its up north but we were practically on the lake where we were camping. And it has nightime fishing.

I agree Lake Isabella is a nice place to camp and fish. I camped at Paradise Cove last summer and it was peaceful. Make sure to get a spot early so you'll have shade or else you'll be baking in the sun. If you've got an RV another popular spot to camp is near the dam. Overall Isabella is a nice getaway with lots of spots to fish.

Another vote for Isabella. Also, if you want to camp right on the water you can always camp anywhere along the shore in Stien Cove or Hanning Flat, while its "Unimproved" camping you can setup right on the shore line and fish all night.

My family and I went camping Lake Powell. I believe we were on the utah side, but we moored our boat on the beach, and camped out right there.

It was awesome. I woke up to a massive Redear munching cheese stuck to a pan my aunt was soaking.
