Finally decided to take a break from bass fishing and my buddy from work wanted to do some Bluegill fishing. So we decided that our best shot at some good size fish and our chance at catching some big "BULLGILLS" was to head over to Lake Perris. We both agreed to take a day off from work during the middle of the week to make this trip so we can be away from the crowds. We arrived at the lake right at opening, got my boat inspected, and off we went to the launch ramp.

The weather was overcast for the first (4 - 5) hours in the morning with water temps from 75 degrees in the morning and reaching to almost 80 when we left. We ended up fishing a total of (3) spots around the lake and did pretty good catching lots of Bluegills with about a half dozen good size Redears. All in all, it was a very productive day and best of all, we had lots of fun and it was a blast catching these gills on "UL" tackle.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Way to go. Are they still deep or have they moved shallow. The past three weeks they have been where the shad are.

Nice! Still good size panfishes out there. Keep those lines tight, and hunt for those stipers and basses since you're at the outlet!

By chance, what baits/lures did you use?
