Late post: Sarl Sucess!! 7-8-11 56k users beware! fishing pron!

LONG OVERDUE! but im finally posting. My gf, uncle and I decided to go to sarl instead of irvine and it was great. Got there around 6 and rented a boat, first time using the motor boat so we didnt start till 650 to get a line out. but i digest. So anyways we were out sitting in this boat full of ants :Confused: and finally casted all 6 rods out by 7am and in just about 5 mins i got my first bendo. fish on. battled it for a good 5 mins before we netted it. Bam got my first cat in 8 yrs! i got the hang of the drag n reeling the fish in :LOL:

ok then 15 mins passed by and wham!! caught my 2nd cat so me: 2, gf:0, uncle 0 this time i tried the m&m combo. then another catch from me! i literally just casted it out and in 1 min after putting away the other fish.. fish on. they must love mackrel that day lol.

i would say 2 mins after i caught 1 my uncle had a fish on, unfortuantley no pic he was to shy lol
so count me 3, gf 0, uncle 1
then unfortunately from 830-9 it was dead so we moved on to another spot, here i caught another "river monster cat" lol and it was a big on "6-7 lbs" iono thats how it looked lol i forgot to take a pic but its in the basket. Ok side note.... so here was a fu** up. the boat was on its way movin down the lake then my gf accidently let go of the basket! AHH!! and unfortunately 1 got away as the water pushed the door down leaving an opening. 3 fish in that basket....

then again no bite. it is now 930 and we moved back to the spot we were at and omg my gf caught a big one. she caught...... a shakespeare rod LOL she was really happy about it thinking it was a fish lol

then afterwards 10-20 mins after my uncle caught another cat. Soooo not including the one that got away we have a total of 5 nice juicy cats. me: 3, gf:0, uncle: 2. so at around noon they stopped biting. so we decided to go for some juicy tilapia. from 12-330. no bites... anyways it was fun out there and we got our pic taken from a woker there, our pic is posted on SARLs website as shown below.

so after 2 skunks at sarl, it did well this time. next stop! lake poway and elsinore!

Excellent catch! Hey, your gf didn't have a total loss. She caught a nice pole for usages later. That's another chance of hammering more fishes from that pole, after a nice maintenance. The optimistic point of view is, she didn't catch dinner, but she caught a chance to get more dinners later. Just like my wife, I still don't know how the heck girls can cross their legs in the car, doing things while sitting with the legs cross, and still keep their balance. God sure created them unique.

lol yea we actually used it during our irvine lake trip. Sadly no catfish, still need to learn that lake, only caught 2 dinky bluegills.. -_-
