Legg Lake crappie on the fly pic/vids

well i originally want to hit up the pud but for some reason i changed my mind as i was walking out the door.

so i got to the water around 5:45ish tied on my fave fly and started flicking for the gills as is my usual routine at legg lake. here is a pic i took as i got there.

i worked the shore line of the mid lake for awhile i only had one solid hook up on a blue gill that came off just at the waters edge and since i am CPR fishing i called that 3/4 of a fish caught so i have beat the skunk with in 20 minutes of being on the water. sweet im doing great i thought to my self.

i worked up the shore line some more to find my go to super duper awesome always catch at least one blue gill spot to be taken by a nice younger couple bait fishing , so i move on a bit further for nothing and decide to try a part of the lake i never fished before ( i fish the mid lake bout 99% of the time) so i walked over to the back of the bottom lake flick my fly for more nothing but i did come across this.

i decide to soak a chunk of mack at this spot in hopes of a kittie cat but after 30mins with no love i decided it was time to move back to the mid lake and go after the gills again.

my super duper awesome spot was open but i got no love i think the couple put a hex on the spot. funny thing was there was a lil dink bass that would come up and strike at my loop to loop knot that connects my fly line to my leader he did this 4 times but i could not get him to take my fly. i was going to call him stupid but he was smart enough to leave my fly alone so he couldn't be that stupid.

i move back towards the jetty of mid lake and right before sun set i get this lil guy my first ever Legg lake crappie and he was also my first ever crappie on the fly outfit.

so super stocked i start casting like a mad man and about 10 min latter and 30 or 40 cast later i get this guy

i was pumped two crappie on the fly with in 20min AT LEGG LAKE so i kept casting like a mad man and well here is the tree that stole my fave fly.

so i tied on a woolly bugger with hopes of a third crappie but a few minutes later the sheriffs came around announcing it was time to leave.

so that was my day at legg lake hope you guys liked the pics and vids

Awesome Legg report! Just gonna give you a heads up this is way too much detail for some leggular's taste. Any who congrats on your first pair of Crappies on the fly! Last fall I caught a super dinker crappie at that spot also. I too was freaking out my mind!

yea i was kinda thinking same thing but it wasnt exactly a spot that dont get a butt load of traffic and a few weeks ago there was a few people blasting some other dude who said he caught a crappie at legg and knowing that there were crappie in legg then catching two i had to post it up.
