Got to the lake late. Launched at 5:25pm and started at the Berisconi side. My buddy Corey and I finally started getting lines in the water by 5:45pm. We threw everything from robos to cranks to softbaits with no love. Lots of weeds though. Even threw the Yo Zuri for a while. Strike two. We kept moving around until we got to the East end. We saw quite a bit of shad busting the surface in the East end. Around 7pm the wind died down and we found a spot that wasn't full of weeds. I was throwing a frenzy minnow when WHAM! It felt like I was stuck on a log. The beast ran for cover and wrapped around some cover. Corey manuvered the boat so I could get untangled and after a few minutes we had it in the boat. 5.35lbs on the digi. After a few pictures we released the beast. We were jacked! Definitely a team effort. Was of the lake by 8pm and now for the fish porn..

See ya on the lake.3165231653

That bass is a real chunk, healthy and obviously growing fast. Probably destined to be a double digit someday.

During the summer you dont see the love until early or late ......during the day they go deep but can still be caught if you find them.

Wow. Nice plumbed ones. 5.35lbs yield that size? What have they been stuffing themselves with?
