Live! On the Water Report (7/8/11) from the Vine!

I arrived at the lake about 6pm. Headed straight to one of my catfish spots. Anchored up and farmed my 1st fish of the day within 15mins.

Its now about 7pm and ive had 3 bites but none of them stuck.

7:30pm, just had a double hook up for my 1st 2 cats of the night!

8pm, just had another short bite but again it didnt stick.

8:15pm, I just lost a monster! It busted my rod in 2 pieces! Quick decision to make, leave the spot while its hot to grab another rod when theres vultures lurking close by waiting to move in on my spot or fish on with one rod!

8:45pm, I decided to fish on! Looks like I made the right choice cus I just landed my 3rd cat of the night!

9:30pm, things slowed down for a bit. Had another short bite followed by what felt like another big one but I couldnt keep him outta the brush and he broke me off.

9:45pm, 4th fish of the night! Thought I had hooked into "Big Monster" again the way this cookie cutter sized channel was fighting!

10pm, just hooked into another fish. Lots of weight to him and a ton of fight. Could it be my 1st DD catfish? Nope it was a DD wiper! Went 10lbs 1oz on my Rapala digi scale. Took awhile to get the hook out. Snapped 2 quick pics and then safely released "Big Monster"!

10:20pm, just limited out! DD blue cat for sure whoo!!!

11pm, the cat went 13lbs even! Double DD at the Vine today all on fresh cut mac dipped/soaked in Bite-On Cajun!

Another epic, epic day of fishing at my favorite lake the Vine! Unpresidented fishing action all night long. Can't wait to get back out there on the water again soon. Hope to see ya'll there!

lol way to go on the double hook up man. i just took my mack that we caught out of the freezer and chopped it up. not sure if i chopped it up right. i basicly cut some into rounds and some i quartered up
