while i was up at san antonio, i got a call from ham-n-eggs ,he said he wanted to blow up mr stripey , the 4th was open so it was on. i saw ron and kahn at the gate , nice to see you two,kahn i hope liked the steaks. put the boat in the water and me and jason were off.

started up the fish arm ,about 5 minutes into it hookup.me and jason were stoked, we got two more fish in the area and it stopped,so we moved on like i always do.we got three more on the troll.we covered most of the lake .stopped and checked on ron and kahn they were getting them near an old spot of mine ,we talked for a bit ,then it was back to it.trolled all the way over to the bouyline for two more fish.

we stopped there for about an hour for no love so we went back to the fish arm.dropped anchor and picked away at the fish ,it was a good steady pick.hit are limits and it was time to go. thankyou again jason it was a blast and we did blow up mr stripey,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,T/O,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Bob didn't even mention the best part... what guide brings you fatty San Antonio striper filets as a surprise??!??! I spent 3 hours scaling, gutting, and filleting the stripers I caught... Sure was awesome of you to share some of those striper steaks.

It was quite possibly the best outing I've had at castaic. The pictures don't do them justice - these units were chunkier and thicker than your average schoolie. Had a helluva time fighting them on my NRX rods too. More than anything, I learn a lot on these trips to Castaic with a guide like Bob. He doesn't just put you on the fish (when a lot of other people might be struggling), but you learn a lot about the structure, depth, and feeding habits of these awesome fish.

Thanks again for a great outing. My freezer's packed!
