I have a tube with Boston valves and my electric pump just took a digger. Where did you buy a pump for a boston valve? I've checked the local stores and aside from a hand operated pump at Sport chalet I haven't been able to find anything.

I bought a long section of clear tubing 5/8" OD (took valve off and carried it to hardware store for right fit) and wrapped a couple of turns of duct tape ate one end, fits snug and works as extension also.

Keep them in tube and can inflate while on the water easily also.

Inflate with 12V pump, and it works great, have to hold pump to extension tube, but sure is easy doing it while standing up...... 8)

thanks for the tip but let me rephrase my qusetion.

I've got the Caddis Nav 2 and the coleman quick pump but the adaptor does not fit the valves on my tube. (the adaptor is too big). I assumed the valves were boston valves but I saw an "adaptor" on the caddis site to use with a compressor.

I think I am a little confused on what the valves are. I think I found the right pump online at Westmarine

http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... &ref=81902 (http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&&storeId=10001&langId=-1&productId=131940&ref=81902)

So some one please tel me what kind of valves I have on my tube?

Google "Boston Valves"..

I have the ODC with Boston Valves, but had a Caddis, the caddis valve was totaly diff. It was a stem you twisted and blew into???? (Nevada Gold, model)...

Boston valve has lid you unscrew to inflate, and secondary that deflates.....

All the pumps have about the same adapters.... That is why I fabricated mine... They also can be used as extensions...........

$29.99 ???? same one is $12 at Wally World???

I do the same thing. i turned down a piece of PVC in the lathe to the inside diameter of my boston valve. presses right in. I can fill my entire tube by breath alone in about 5 minutes (even less if I embrace the headrush and don't take a break, he he he).

I bought a double action hand pump from Sport Chalet the same time I bought my Fish Cat 4. The pump cost $12.99 and worked great when I tubed yesterday.

That's why I like my Caddis Nevada gold. Just twist and blow....LOL
Ya never need any kind of pump for the old school ....tested..... tried and proven design 8)
Tubes don't need alot of PSI to keep them fully inflated and you afloat 8)
