Took my good friend Doogie out for the morning yesterday before I had to guide a white water rafting trip. We fished from 6:30 till 10am. Hit the trees in the south fork. Started at one of my usual spots for a couple crappie and even more catfish. Bite slowed down so we started bush hopping hoping for better results. We found the right bush a little later and really put the wood to em'. Ended up keeping 26 for a fish fry and released at least another dozen. all cats were released. Again all fish were caught an the white tube jig with a crappie nibble.

Great job as always John! Good to hear they are still biting back there. Gotta love them TASTY Crappie! I've been targeting bass lately, C&R of course but my crappie supply is gone so its time to get up there and get some more.

I've also been thinking about heading up north to Crowley and getting some Sacramento Perch, IMHO, just as tasty!
