Sat July 2 Part One @ West Ramp Area of Upper Castaic

A quick decision at 8am to try out Castaic Lake with family for some fishing and a picnic. Got to the lake around 9:30 and headed to the West Ramp. Alot of trailers parked in the lot. There were alot of people out enjoying the water. We hiked the trail to the left of the ramp to the trees for some shade. People to our left caught two nice stripers about 2-3lbs earlier in the morning. Its stared getting hot around noon so we decided to leave. Got skunked but didn't mind it was just relaxing of a day. Water seemed high from what I remembered.

thanks for the report. good to get a report. fish or no fish. and yes the lake is as full as i have seen it in sometime. being a boater i love when its full.
