I recently acquired a two seater kayak, and finaly got a chance to take it out today. Left hot nasty riverside about 1:00 arived at Dana Point short after.
I launched and headed strait for the docks, only a few short hits on the 3in pacific 'chovy.so I headed towards the frontside of the island. And scored this little chunker to start the day off right. First fish in the yak :Big Grin:

Few cast later a ton of little checkers hopped on the 3in calico hunter.

couldnt keep the serpants off.

I switched to a war slayer swim jig and a 4" sexy smelt generously lathered in butta and on the drop got Hammered!!!!! I clicked the reel in gear and the battle began. The beast took me for a ride right into on coming boat traffic but I manage to bring in the beast.

My first WSB and its out of a Yak, STOKED.

After this I called it a day because the wind started to pick up and my arms were done.

Bonus Report? WHAT IS THIS?:: I was lucky enough to travel north this past week to visit my family. My brother in-law took me out "rock hoppin" his version of dock hoppin.

They fish for black snapper as we do SBB I got this one on a 3in BH baysmelt

This one ate a 4in midnight phantom.

I started throwing a 6 1/1in pacific chovy and was stoked to see this ling shoot out of the rocks and inhale my swimmy like it was a nothing
taped out at 27" and about 15 tacos.

I was at dana point with my pontoon on Saturday morning... saw a guy on a kayak with at least a 45 pound Halibut. Only problem was the flies... they were thick I had to stop fishing because I would have a dozen or so crawling on me at once...

Its not impossible to get back on. There's a few videos on youtube if i remember correctly, they sell this inflatable thing that straps onto your paddle so you can use it as a balance to get back into your kayak, then you just pump out the water.
