went out on thursday at sail cove. didnt catch nothin. went out this mornin on the tube down in gates 11&12 was getting solid bites from abotu 6:30 til about 10:30 brought home 9, released about 6 pregnant ones and about 4 super small ones

The way that you string up those panfishes, it appears as if they just jumped up and ate the baits, then got hooked on the chain :LOL: Oh..that is some funny looking stringer picture. Nice lunch and dinner catches. Best ethic is to release the prego's and small fries to give them a chance to make more later.

ya i need to get one of those "flap-door" cages and hook up a pool noodle so it floats. i had to double up some of those on the stringer too.

Hey way to go on the panfish, but why do all your fish look dead? Was this pic taken after you got home? Here's a helpful tip: If you are going to put your Bluegill (or any fish, for that matter) on a stringer, don't run the clip through the gills. That's a sure way to kill them quickly. Push the sharp stringer clip point up through the bottom jaw/lip membrane area and out the mouth. Now the fish can use it's gills and still breath the oxygen in the water. They will survive way longer this way.

yea i was about to clean them there when i got home. thanks for the tip. never knew about that way of doing it
