Photos From Mammoth

Just got back from Mammoth. The weather was incredible, 70's at the lakes and we caught our limits two days in a row fairly quickly. Inflated nightcrawlers and Berkley Garlic Dip did the trick. Fish or hits on every cast. All the lakes are ice free. Mamie and George still have lots of snow on the banks but, it should mostly gone by next weekend.

Great pictures! Just got back myself. I remember seeing you years ago at Saddlebag Lake. You caught a golden from 20 Lakes Basin, and I saw you fishing by the dam. I went that lake last year and caught 2 really nice Goldens. It will be darn near August before we can fish there this year. Glad to see your still lovin' every minute of it. good fishin!

Wow, I remember exchanging posts with you. What was that website again, Easternsierrafishing.com or something like that? That was seven years ago! Glad you're still able to go up and enjoy the sierras too!

That's great! I still have a memory in my old age. I'm headed to Saddlebag and beyond 8/5 - 8/8. Should be a short but sweet season. good fishin!

I don't think they are even open yet with all the snow they had. Soon though.. good luck and catch some goldens. Last time I was there was October 2009 when my wife and I did a quick stop after going to Tuolumne meadows. Didn't catch anything though but, its always nice to see the "bag."

We arrived in Bishop at around 7:15- just in time for the DUI checkpoint! Ran to the market for some supplies, and checked in to the hotel (we're roughing it, I know). It doesn't seem too busy here. I know, wait until we hit the lakes tomorrow! I'm so excited; we took the big truck instead of the JK- Most of the places we are going has easy access. I just purchased an Itouch, so I will take photos! :)
